| This course is designed to teach students the importance of physical exercise in their daily lives. The course will provide students with instruction in proper exercise techniques and exercise for specific muscle groups as well as whole body exercise. Both aerobic and anaerobic exercise will be used. Students will also be exposed to a variety of activities with emphasis on team sports in the 9-10 years and on more individual life sports in the 11-12 years. Students will be graded on their participation, their understanding of the history and rules of the game for each activity. | |

Health is a course that will further develop the knowledge of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in our world today. The following units will be covered: Making Healthy Choices, Mental Health, Nutrition, Physical Fitness, Human Development, Substance Abuse, and Modern Health Problems.

Students will complete course work for the purpose of being able to obtain a drivers license. Major emphasis will be on the “Rules of the Road” and textbook studies designed to teach the law as well as basic driving fundamentals and strategies.
