Academic Bowl is a scholastic event in which students in grade 9-12 travel to various other area schools to participate. In academic bowl, two teams of five students compete against one another. The competitions, also called meets or matches, consist of a combination of toss-up and bonus questions. The questions asked may be of a variety of topics such as science, mathematics, social studies, language arts, fine arts, and miscellaneous. At the end of the match, the team with the highest number of points wins.
